Dr. Green's style is warm, intuitive, genuine and supportive. This style enables her to readily build a rapport, an essential part of successful therapy, especially with teens. In addition to her compassionate style, she utilizes humor to disarm even the most oppositional teens. It is often difficult to build a therapeutic relationship with teenagers. Dr. Green's style and approach is effective getting teenagers to trust and be responsive to her. With this foundation, she is able to help the teen take responsibility, look at alternatives and make positive changes in his/her life. She has experience working with some of the most difficult teens. She has worked in youth diversion programs with first time juvenile offenders. Another aspect of Dr. Green's work is with teenage girls regarding body image. She has worked with college aged women on how body image influences behavior, emotions, self-esteem, eating disorders and relationships. She also examines peer pressure, athletics, media and other influences of a girl's feelings and misconceptions about herself.

Dr. Green's experience working in child development programs and as a child care provider along with her disarming style makes her an ideal therapist for young children as well. Children feel comfortable and interact with her not even knowing that they are in therapy. Dr. Green incorporates the research supported interventions to implement effective therapy strategies with children. She utilizes cognitive, behavioral, psycho-dynamic and family systems therapy approaches. Dr. Green's style combined with her experience and training, allows her to effectively work with a variety of clients.
