Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
AMFT 133915

Staci Elkins, M.A. is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT 133915) with a master’s degree from Phillips Graduate Institute.  Staci received her bachelor’s degree with honors at the University of California, Los Angeles. Staci was trained at the California Family Counseling Center, a community mental health clinic, where she received a wide range of experience working with adults, children, teens, and families of various ethnicities, genders, and sexualities. She has worked with clients with a variety of psychological and emotional issues including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, obsessive compulsive disorder, body dysmorphia, trauma, social media/self-comparison, and parent-child relationships. Staci specialized in grief counseling for many years, leading support groups for children at Our House Grief Support Center, both in-house and in public schools throughout Los Angeles. These experiences have cultivated her ability to remain calm, objective, and compassionate during periods of extreme stress for individuals and their families.

When working with clients, Staci strives to make the therapy experience warm, trusting, positive, safe, and respectful, so that client’s goals can be met and sustained. Everyone deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful and fulfilled life with supportive and loving relationships. Her approach is solution-focused and strength-based, drawing heavily from Cognitive Behavior Theory.  Staci will work with clients to improve their mental health challenges; specifically, she will help them learn how to manage stress and anxiety, resolve relationship issues, heal from trauma, gain motivation, improve self-awareness, and practice self-compassion.

Taking the first step toward change to seek a more satisfying and happy life requires courage. If you are ready to take that step, Staci is here to support and empower you.
