INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Individual therapy is provided to children and adults and is personalized to meet the specific needs of the client. Evidence based therapy using directive, goal-oriented methods is utilized for more meaningful results. These methods are combined with a compassionate, candid and encouraging style to create a supportive environment for the client. With children, we use non-threatening methods such as games, role-plays, drawings and activities to put the child at ease, build rapport and reduce the sense of "being in therapy". Interventions include psycho-educational, cognitive behavioral, family systems and many others. Therapeutic issues include anxiety, depression, trauma, dealing with loss/divorce, drug/alcohol addiction, stress, and more. The most important component of successful therapy is an appropriate match between the patient and therapist. We have several therapists with various styles so that we can best match the therapist with the patient's needs and personality.
