Niari Markarian is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) dedicated to supporting individuals, children, teens, couples, and families on their journey towards healing and personal growth.

Niari holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Woodbury University and a Master’s from Pepperdine University in Clinical Psychology emphasizing in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is currently working towards licensure as a MFT and PCC under the supervision of Dr. Fulton. Her academic and clinical training has provided a solid foundation in evidence-based therapeutic approaches and a deep understanding of the complexities within relationships. Niari has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including, private practice, community clinic and school settings. Having years of experience as a middle and high school educator and counselor in a private school setting, Niari understands the complexities and struggles children and teens might face personally, academically and in social settings.

Niari’s passion lies in helping individuals, children, teens, couples, and families navigate the challenges that life brings. She provides a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their emotions, improve communication, and develop effective coping strategies. Whether you are facing issues surrounding emotional regulation, depression, anxiety, relationships, grief, life transitions, or personal struggles, Niari is here to walk alongside you on your path to healing.

In addition to her work as an AMFT and APCC, Niari specializes and is certified as an Anger Management Counselor. Anger is a natural emotion, but when it becomes overwhelming or leads to destructive behavior, seeking support is crucial. She offers personalized anger management strategies to help clients understand and manage their emotions constructively, fostering healthier relationships and personal well-being.

Niari believes in tailoring her therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Drawing from modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy, she collaborates with clients to develop realistic goals and effective solutions to fit their needs.
