Psy.D. Practicum Trainee | Performance Psychology Specialist | Mental Health Advocate

Brandon Shearer is a dedicated Psy.D. candidate in Clinical Psychology at California Lutheran University, with a projected completion in 2027. Bringing a unique blend of clinical expertise and performance psychology, Brandon has a strong passion for helping individuals thrive—whether they're navigating mental health challenges or striving for peak performance in sports and life.

Currently completing his practicum at Fulton Psychological Group, Brandon provides individual, group, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. His clinical focus includes treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, ASD, PTSD, and more. In addition to psychotherapy, Brandon specializes in performance training for athletes, performers, and teams, integrating mental skills development with evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT, ACT, and family systems therapy.

Brandon's diverse experience spans college counseling centers, residential treatment facilities, and community clinics. His work has consistently emphasized a holistic approach—addressing both mental health and performance optimization. Beyond clinical settings, Brandon is passionate about community service. As Associate Director and co-founder of Eon Impact, a nonprofit supporting youth in underserved communities, he fosters personal growth through sports, education, and mentorship.

A former collegiate athlete and three-time West Coast Conference All-Academic honoree, Brandon brings firsthand understanding of balancing performance demands with personal well-being. His research contributions in sport psychology, along with affiliations with the APA and Association for Applied Sport Psychology, reflect his commitment to advancing both clinical and performance psychology fields.

When he's not working with clients or developing mental skills programs, Brandon enjoys giving back through coaching and mentoring young athletes, continuing his mission to help individuals unlock their full potential—on and off the field.
